It happened for the first time in last week's Live Chat Satsang: there were so many questions from online participants that there was no time left for email questions. It was a wonderful evening! And to make sure the email questions do get answered quickly, I made a Satsang video two days later in which I read out and answer some of the questions. And I was finally able to publish this video today.

Topics of this Satsang: struggling with death; contact with the deceased; Jesus quote; difference between Samarpan and breath meditation; connecting material pleasures and spirituality; sensations in the crown chakra.

I love answering questions, because for me it's like in your life: you experience something new, you discover something new, but this newness becomes normal very quickly, and then, you hardly notice it anymore because it has become normal in your life.

It's like with a new car. At first, there's the smell of the car and the touch of the steering wheel and the feel of the seats and the sound of the engine: it's all new and you notice it all. But then, four weeks later, it's just a car. It has become normal for you.

And it's the same with all these inner things. My peace and my happiness and my Heaven have become so normal to me that it's hard for me to talk about it, because there's just nothing for me to talk about. But when I get questions, then I can talk about it, and then I remember, and then I can be even more happy about it. And that's why I'm so grateful for your questions.

Good morning.

This morning, I would like to answer a few questions I received via email which were intended for the last Live Chat Satsang, which took place two days ago on Tuesday. But there were so many questions from the participants, from the people who participated live in that event, that there was no time to read the email questions. And that's when I decided to do this additional video and read and answer the questions.

But before I start, I want to report a little experience I had this morning. In the Live Chat Satsang on Tuesday, I spoke about the meditation and how much I like it when I meditate very early in the morning. I reported how I can feel the difference whether I meditate at 5 o'clock in the morning or at 6 or even after 6, because before 6 o'clock, the world is so quiet. And I can feel this in the meditation. But this morning, I meditated very late. Aat 6:30 or briefly before 7 o'clock I began to meditate, because I slept very long. The night before, I had very little sleep because I was waking up very early for meditation, and then, usually, my body catches up the next night and sleeps much longer. And although I meditated rather late this morning, my body was rested, my body had enough sleep, and I had such a nice meditation.

And this reminded me about something I usually don't talk in my videos about, and that is that I never force myself to get up early in order to meditate early. I don't set an alarm to wake my body up so I can meditate early. I don't do this. What I try to do is: I try to go to bed as early as possible, so then my body can get enough sleep, as much sleep as it needs. And then, I wake up rested, and then I meditate. And for me, it's not good to deprive my body of sleep and meditate very early. I don't like it. The meditation is different then. And the best way is for me to wake up very early but totally rested, and then meditate. So, this morning it was all different: I woke up late, I meditated late, but the body was rested and I loved it. Yes, and that's what I wanted to share.

And now, I want to read the questions, and I'm really happy that I can answer these questions now in an additional video, because the video I can make in English. The Live Chat Satsang was in German language, and it will have English subtitles prepared by me, so you can watch it anyway, but the email questions I can answer in a separate English video, so you can have an easier time listening to it. I don't know why, but... I'm a German, I'm a native German, but from the very beginning I had the clear impulse that I will do all of my videos in German and in English. I don't know why, but it was very clear, and I do this with every single video. First, I record the German version, then I have a 5-minute break, and then I do the English version. And I really have so much joy with this. Who knows what it is good for. And if you listen to this, I'm so happy that you are here.

So, now let's start with the questions. This question is from Simone: "What can I say to someone who struggling a lot with the death of someone close to them, especially with not being able to have said goodbye to them."

Thank you for this question. I want to answer this question on two different levels. The one level is: you can't really say something to them what will relieve them of their pain. It's not possible. Words will not help, not really. But there's something which will help. When you are in peace with your own feelings about the situation: you have this other person, maybe it's a friend, maybe it's a family member or maybe it's a colleague at work, and this person shares with you, and you feel the pain and the agony of this other person... And you feel helpless, and you would like them to feel better. And there are two things at play here. First of all, you feel helpless. You want to help them, but you can't. And you feel their feelings when they share with you, and you don't really like these feelings either... this pain. That's why we want to help them, you know. And if you are in peace with your own feelings, with your helplessness, with this pain which you feel too... this peace, this transmits.

Words don't do it. But when you are in peace with this, then you can be really close to this other person, and this helps. This gives support. Then it's easier for the other person to also be in peace with her or his pain. And if it's a person who's close to you, it's not easy to see another person who you love in the suffering. You really want to help. And if you're in peace with this, with your pain of seeing a loved one in pain, this also helps. Your peace, your willingness to accept, your willingness to be in this, in peace, willingly... this is a support.

And of course, we talk, and you can say comforting words to the other person, you can be loving to them, you can talk to them. But what really helps is not your words. What really helps is your peace, your acceptance; this inner quality which cannot be put into words. But when you are with this other person, when you talk or when you're just sitting there, that comes through. This will be the best support for this other person. And then, it doesn't matter what you do. Maybe you tell them: "How can I help you? Do you want to have a cup of tea?" And then you prepare a cup of tea for them and bring it to them, and then you sit down with them and you talk. And what really helps is your inner peace. The other person doesn't have to know about it, but it will support the other person.

The second thing is, and this is something you cannot tell the other person, it doesn't really help, but I tell it to you and to whoever listens who is in a similar situation. When you lost a person who is close to you, either to life or to death, and then there are things you regret: "Why didn't I say goodbye? Why didn't I tell them more often 'I love you'? Why was I angry with them?" All these things. We human beings have the habit of questioning what we did in the past, and that is a terrible habit. It's a very unproductive habit. It is like this: you live your life, and in each situation, you do what you can, without you knowing: you always give your best in a certain situation.

And then, later, a day later or a month later, when you look back at the situation... you forgot about how you felt in the situation. You forgot why you did the things the way you did them; why you didn't do the things you didn't do. It was just not possible for you. But when you remember later the situation, then it's easy to think: "Oh, I could have done it differently! Why didn't I do this? Why didn't I do that?"

But these thoughts which you have in retrospect, they are lies. When you were in the situation, you couldn't do it. Maybe you don't know why you couldn't do it; maybe you don't even realize that you couldn't do it; but that's how it was.

My master Soham, he has a habit. Since I know him, he has this habit, since 23 years. He never thinks about what he did in the past; never. He never questions it. He never tries to understand it. Sometimes, he's being asked a question, and he answers, and then, sometimes, this person comes back to him later and wants to talk about the same question again, and he says: "Why do you ask me this? I already answered. I don't want to think about it again." And this habit... I copied this habit. I'm the same now. What I did, I did. What I didn't do, I didn't do. I don't need to understand why, and this makes it so much easier.

You know, we humans, we believe that it's good to question what we did. We believe: this is how we learn. We believe: this is how we will be able to do it better the next time. If I torture myself now for the stupidity I did yesterday, I will be doing it better tomorrow; that's what we believe. But it's not true. The opposite is true. When I'm just in peace with what I did, no matter what it was, when I'm just in peace... I can't change it anyway... With this peace, I'm more able to be here now. I will be more able to experience the next moment with open eyes, without my thoughts being in the way, without my judgments being in the way. And if I judge myself for what I did yesterday, and if I worry about how I will be doing it the next time, I will not be able to be really attentive and here with my awareness, with all of my senses tomorrow. I'm thinking. I'm worrying. But the whole world believes this. It's amazing.

So, if you experience something like this... if you lost a person and you couldn't say goodbye, or you didn't say goodbye, and now you suffer from this: feel your feelings, make peace with your feelings, and don't think about what you did. Waste no time about this. None.

And I want to tell you a secret: you can say goodbye now. You are not able to get in contact with this other person anymore, because this other person is not here anymore. You can't see this person anymore. But the soul of this other person, the soul is still around. And if you're close to yourself... Maybe you are sad that you couldn't say goodbye, because you love this person so much... If you just feel this love in you; if you don't think about what you did and what you didn't do; if you just are as close as possible to yourself and to this love; if you love this person inside... then you are close to this other person. You don't know this. You can't perceive this, but the other soul can.

You know, in reality, we are all one. Of course, you can't experience this, but the closer you are to yourself, the more you can love yourself and the more you can feel this love for this other soul, the closer you are to this other soul. You're just connected, and this soul will know. You don't have to talk about it in your head, you don't have to put it into words. You can if you want, but this is how it works. Thank you for this question. I know so many people who struggle with this.

And Simone has another question which fits perfectly to what I just started to say. She writes: "Do you think we can be in touch with souls who have left their physical shell?"

Involuntarily, I already started to answer the second question. I want to tell you about something I experienced in my life. When my father died, I wasn't there. We had a hard time with each other. We didn't really have contact, but I loved him totally. I just loved him. But we didn't have an easy life together. And when he died... I knew that he was waiting for me. But I couldn't go. I couldn't. It's not that I had a problem with him. I wasn't even scared or anything like this. I just felt: "No, it's better I don't go." But I loved him inside, totally, and I still do.

And now there are people who say: "Why didn't you come?" I don't think about it. I can feel that my love which I feel inside, that's the real connection to this being who was my father. If I would have gone there, who knows what would have happened. Then, our bodies would be in the way, our life story would be in the way, the pain we experienced together in this life, that would be in the way. He might not have been able to hear me, to be close to me. But now, now he's a soul without the body, without the story, without all these hindrances, and when I'm close to myself and close to this deep love and gratitude I feel to him, that's my connection to him.

That's how you get in touch with souls who are not in their physical body anymore: through your own emotions. You don't have to talk. You don't have to speak to them in your mind. There are people who claim to be mediums to people who died. You can go to them and they connect you to them and then you can talk to these deceased people through this medium. And of course, you can do this if you like. Some people do rituals to connect to those souls, and you can do this if you like. You know, we are human beings, and for us human beings, it's often helpful when we can experience something with our senses, with our hands and ears and with our nose and with what we say. It helps us to connect. We can experience it. But it's not necessary for the soul you want to connect to. That soul is already connected to you, and the real connection is through your inside.

And the closer you are to yourself, and the more you can feel these feelings which you have in connection with this other soul, the closer you are. That's how it works. And you don't need rituals or other mediums. This is the pure, that's the real connection. And I cannot experience the soul of my father inside of me. I can't say I see him or feel him directly, but I know that this connection is there. This I know, without any doubt. I know that he knows how I feel. That all what matters, this inner connection. He knows about my gratitude. He knows about my peace with him, about my love with him.

It's like this altar, this door to the other soul, this is your inside. And if you regret something, then go inside, just feel this regret, but pure, without thinking about it, without judging yourself about it. Just feel the feeling. Make peace with it. That connects you to the other soul. If you feel pain, feel the pain; make peace with the pain. Be as close to the pain as possible. Be as loving with the pain as possible. That connects you to the other soul.

Thank you for this question. So, let's see what else we have. Ah yes. The next question is from Kurt. "Jesus said: in that day you will know that I'm in my Father and you are in me and I am in you. Can you tell me when that day is supposed to be, if it is coming for everyone, and if it has already happened for some."

Thank you for this question, Kurt. This is a beautiful question. I love to talk about Jesus. I love to answer questions about Jesus, because Jesus had such a unique way to talk about human life. He talked about it so directly, so tangible, in such a human way. And what Jesus is doing is that he's describing how it works for each and every one of us. He describes the process a human being goes through on the way to Heaven, on the way to happiness, on the way to God. And we misunderstand him; the church completely misunderstood this. He wasn't talking about a specific date, and on that date, everybody who is worthy will go to Heaven with him... a date in 100 years or anything like this... No, no. He was never talking about anything like this. He talked about you. He describes what you will experience; how it will be for you; so you know, so you are prepared.

He said: "There will be a time where you will see: I am in God." Jesus is speaking, and he is saying: "You will see that I, Jesus, I'm in God." And he talks about the time where you find another human being, a Master, a Guru, whoever, it doesn't matter how you call this person... and you will see: "Wow, this person, there is something about this person... this person is different. This person... it's like this person is not from this world. You will see: "Wow, this person is in God." You will experience God through this other person.

And then, later, you will experience... it's like the disciples of Jesus: they just loved Jesus, and they were just dissolving in Jesus, in their love. They notice: I am... I'm in him. I'm in Jesus. I'm in this medium of God which I love so much. And through this bridge, the ego of these disciples dissolve, through this love, through this surrender to their Master, through the surrender to their Guru. They see God in their Jesus. Jesus was a Master. Jesus was a Guru, one of the greatest Gurus ever. And then, it's like we lose our own identity, and we are in our Guru. That's how a human being experiences it, and this is what Jesus says with the second part of the sentence. When he says... First, he says: "I am in God", and then, the second is: "You are in me."

And then, the next step is: you realize, you experience: "Oh, he's in me! It's all in me. Jesus is in me. My Master is in me. God is in me. I'm one. It's all in me." And this lifelong process, this description of the spiritual path, this is what Jesus gives us in this one sentence. He was a Master of putting the essence into so few words.

Now you ask: "When will this day come?" Well, I said it: it's not a day, it's a process. And the first part of the process, that's already happened to you. You already experienced this. You already feel: „Oh, wow, there is someone who is different. You already recognize a Guru. You already recognize a medium of God. And when you love this medium, or when you feel well there, when you feel drawn to this medium, when you spend time with this medium through whatever way... when you meditate, then you are in the second step: more and more, you are in him, or in her, if it's a female medium of God. And that's the step where you are in right now. And then, this will slowly slowly change into the third step, where you more and more realize: "It's not out there. Yes, this medium is God, I can feel it, I experience it since many years, but actually, it's only in me. It's all in me." That's what Jesus is talking about, and yes, this day is here.

And yes... you ask: "Will this day come for everybody?" Yes, but for every person, it comes at a different time. I'm somewhere else on that path than you, and somebody else is somewhere else on that path than you are. This is just the process every human being goes through, and this is why we are here in this life on this Earth in this body. So, it's not a specific day you have to wait for. It's not something which will happen to all people at the same time if they were holy enough or good enough or any nonsense like this. No. Jesus just tells you: this is what's happening with you, that's why you're here. Isn't it beautiful? I love Jesus.

Thank you for your question. So, I think there are more questions.

Somebody writes: "Could you please explain the difference between Samarpan Meditation and a meditation that focuses on breathing. Also with the latter, I don't want to achieve anything, the only difference is that the concentration is not on the crown chakra but on the breath."

If you wonder what I'm doing here all the time when I move... I'm not sitting in a chair, I sit on the little table with my legs folded in a half Lotus, and that's the way I love to sit. For me this is very comfortable and very easy to sit. But sometimes, I have to move my legs a little bit or change the position of my legs, and that's what you see.

Yes, the breathing meditation is a wonderful meditation. Most meditations in the world are not really meditations. Meditation is when you don't want anything, when you don't wait for anything, when you don't want to achieve something, when you're just here. And I said: most meditations are not like this. Most meditations have hidden in them some goal, some agenda. But the breathing meditation is different. The breathing meditation is amazing. It brings you in a very short time very deep into a quiet space inside of you, but that space somehow is not of you. It's different. It really connects you to the essence, but you don't know it. But it's lovely. And I did breathing meditation myself many many years ago, and I loved it.

The Samarpan Meditation, however, is different. When you do the breathing meditation and you focus on the breath, it brings you in touch with the space inside of you which comes from elsewhere, but in a way, you remain where you are. I have a hard time expressing this with words. The breathing meditation reminds me of the time in my life where I experienced with my Master: "I have everything I want, I'm in total peace. There's nothing I wish for." And yet, I knew: there's something else. I didn't want anything else, but... It reminds me of that time in my life where I was happy and complete and content. I was already 17 years with my Master, but I noticed then at that time: "That's not what I'm here for. There's something else, but I haven't discovered this yet."

And that's the time when the Samarpan Meditation came into my life, and it is like this meditation opens a new dimension. And the breathing meditation didn't give me access to this. The Samarpan Meditation... you focus with your attention here, on this highest spot of your head; that's what the Indians call the crown chakra. But you don't have to imagine any kind of esoteric chakra or anything. You are just at this spot of your body with your attention when you do the Samarpan Meditation, and in a way, this is a magic spot. This spot for me is the... it's like the door between this world and the other world. It's the entrance to Heaven for me, that's why all my videos have this intro in the beginning: "Heaven is at Hand when you know it's Gate." And this is the gate. And you can't open this gate yourself, you can't walk through, but you can feel it. And when you sit with your attention there, something magic happens, over time, slowly, slowly.

And the breathing meditation is lovely. You immediately feel this space and this peace. The Samarpan Meditation is quite different. You focus on your crown chakra, and for this, you have to leave all your thoughts. And when you do the Samarpan Meditation, and when you focus with your attention on the crown chakra, it's often not pleasant at all, quite the contrary. You notice how difficult it is to stay there with your attention. You feel incapable. You end up in thoughts again and again. And when you meditate this meditation for a few weeks or a few months, it's like you come closer to yourself and all the things about yourself that you don't like. Your attention becomes sharper and more awake, and the first things you discover is all the things you wanted to hide away all your life. So, in a way, this meditation is not so pleasant and not so comforting in the beginning.

The Samarpan Meditation is like the groundwork for true Heaven. The breathing meditation is instantly beautiful, instantly, but limited. The Samarpan Meditation is not instantly gratifying. It doesn't feel good all the time. But if you keep at it, it will change you and your life forever.

Jesus talks about this. Of course, he didn't call it Samarpan Meditation. He said: "The one thing you can do is: sit at the door to the temple." He said: "You can't open the door. Just sit there, the rest happens by itself." And that's what he was talking about. These are Jesus's words: "Heaven is at Hand." He said this. Here, that's what he meant: you can touch the door. It's at hand. And you sit with your attention at this door. And this is the crown chakra up there, and when you have your attention there, it will, over the month, over the years, influence all the other chakras in your body. It will automatically cleanse all of your chakras. It will automatically align all of your chakras, all of your energy, slowly, slowly, changing you completely. And you don't know anything about it. It will bring you into peace with all the things which you have a problem with about yourself. And while this is happening, over time, slowly, slowly, your soul grows and the door opens, slowly, slowly, by itself.

That's the difference between these two meditations. They have some things in common, but the Samarpan Meditation is really a completely different thing. And you have to discover it for yourself. When you hear about it, how it's being done, it looks so simple and so innocent. And when you do the meditation, it doesn't feel special at all in the beginning. You have to have some patience, some endurance with it. But that's the way to Heaven.

The special thing about this meditation is that it enables normal people who live in society, people like you, people like me, people with a family, a job, a life... It enables us normal people to walk that path; to discover the door to Heaven, and to discover Heaven itself, while we living in the body; while we living in this normal life. And this is totally amazing. And in my experience, the breathing meditation doesn't bring you there. Now, 20, 25 years later, I can say: the breathing meditation is limited, but the Samarpan Meditation is not. That's the way, all the way to the end of this life, of this path we are on. Thank you for this beautiful question.

Let's see what else we have. "I'm very preoccupied with the material world right now. I just like nice things. I like traveling and a comfortable life, even though the most important thing in my life is my spiritual development and the path with Swamiji. Still, how can I combine the two? I realize how the thoughts of consumption and the thoughts of comfort and having things and earning money always distracts me very much. Perhaps you have a few words or suggestions for me."

Yes, thank you for this beautiful question. I love this question, because this is how it is for us human beings, isn't it? For everybody... We love our life, we love the beautiful things, and there's nothing wrong with it, not at all.

You ask: "How can I combine the two things?" Well, you can't. Jesus talks about this. He explains how it works. Jesus was a person who was in life. He wasn't an ascetic. The Bible, the church doesn't really talk about these things, because the people who wrote the texts which are in the Bible, they wanted to write about the uniqueness of Jesus, about his Godliness, about this special quality. That's what they were focusing on. But Jesus was in love with life. He appreciated everything, yet he was living in God. He was the Son of God, truly. And he tells us the secret. He says: "Put God first, and everything else will follow."

It's like this in life: you can want one thing. You can direct your attention, your energy, to one thing, and that you will achieve. If you divide it, you will not achieve anything. If you want this, but also that, you won't get anywhere. There's one ancient mystic, I forgot his name, but he described it like this: it's like a normal human being is like horses all pulling in different directions. You want this and you want this and you want that and you want that and you want this and you want that. And all these horses in you pull you into different directions, and the result is that you get nowhere. Only when all of your horses, when all of your energy pulls into one single direction, then you will get anywhere. And it's true, you know this.

There are people in the world who say: "If you really want to be successful, you will be successful", and it's true. The only question is: which target, which goal do you choose. And that's what Jesus said. He said: "Choose God." And the special quality about that goal is: if you have this goal, if you want to choose God, all the other things will follow, and that's my experience. If you choose the material world, if you want to be successful and make a lot of money... if this is your most important goal, you will succeed. Nobody can stop you, but then you have to forget all the other goals. But you will succeed. You will become wealthy, rich. But you won't be happy. It won't bring you anywhere. You will have money, you will have comfort, you will discover how empty it is. It will not make you happy. And that's what everybody does in this life.

And the special quality about the only goal which really matters is: "When you have this goal, and when you achieve this, all the rest follows." That's what Jesus said, and this is how it is. "You put God first", this means: you meditate. You sit at the at the door to Heaven, at the door to the Temple, and slowly, slowly, you will discover Heaven in you. You discover true happiness.

And the wondrous miraculous thing about this is that then, everything you experience in life changes. Everything becomes beautiful. It doesn't mean that everything becomes easy, but everything is beautiful for you. You begin to love everything: the food you taste is more delicious, the people around you, you can only love. They become more and more beautiful. And everything you need comes to you, without worry and without effort. There's nothing you... there's nothing anymore you wish for, first of all, because you're totally happy anyway, and second: in some way you can't explain, it all comes to you by itself. That's my personal experience. That's why Jesus said: "Why do you worry? Don't worry about all these things! Rest in God. It will all happen."

And it really... practically it is like this. I'm not talking about some esoteric imagination of some Heaven. I'm talking about practical life. So, it's your choice. This is the only choice you have to make: "What's the most important thing for me?" You ask: "How can I combine the two?" You can't combine goals.

Have one goal, and choose that wisely.

Thank you for your question, thank you. I know this is the question of almost everybody. Thank you. Let's see whether we have another question.

Yes, there's one more. "Every now and then during the day, I feel the crown chakra very physically. It's like it burns and pulls there at the top of my skull. It's a completely unknown sensation to me. I have a hard time describing it. This sensation at the head is kind of unpleasant, but at the same time, joy emerges in me. Do you know this, or has anyone else reported something similar?"

Yes, I know this. Yes, many people report this. This is how it is. For me it's like this when I meditate: it takes about 15 or 20 minutes, and then, when I became quiet and when my attention really settles on the crown chakra, I begin to have these sensations. It's like as if something is moving there physically, and I can feel it right now, too. And, yes, joy arises. Joy... you don't know the reason for this joy. It's just joy. It's just happiness, happiness bubbling up in you. Yes, that's how it is. That's the crown chakra being activated. That's this door opening a little bit. And that's all you need to do. Focus on that. Have your attention there, rest there. Don't want anything, no goal. Just feel this.

And for me, it is the same way like you report: I don't experience this only during meditation, I experience this during the day often, too. Whenever I have a moment during the day where I remember: "Ah, I want to put my attention to the crown chakra", then I begin to feel this again. And when I make videos or answer questions like right now, I feel this very directly, very intensely.

And yes, it can feel a little strange. It doesn't feel unpleasant to me at all. My guess is that it feels unpleasant as long as this is something foreign to you, unfamiliar. And then, the mind thinks: „Oh, what is this? I don't know this! This is strange, this is unpleasant." It's like children: when they eat something they don't know, they don't like it. But you get used to it, and then it's just lovely.

Sometimes during the day, I feel this tingling sensation at my crown chakra, and it's like God calling me: "Hey, give me your attention!" And the beautiful thing is: I can do anything during the day, I can do work, I can program, I can cook, I can eat, I can talk, and yet, I feel my crown chakra in this way and I have my attention at the crown chakra. Like when I make videos, my attention is at my crown chakra, nowhere else. And that's why I'm so connected to you, and that's why you like it so much, because that's all I do. I'm resting there. I'm sitting at the door to the temple.

And that's why I like this so much, because it's so practical, so tangible. It's not some esoteric idea, but something to experience. Everybody can experience it for themselves. Thank you for your question. I love it. Enough for today.
